LARGE DIESEL ENGINE

GRG retooled and repitched two existing assembly lines for commercial and industrial engine types over 24 months, achieving a throughput of 51 jobs per hour. This initiative accommodated new and larger engine variants, including the short block assembly line, by implementing 11 automatic stations that integrate with both new and existing models. Upgrades across all 140 stations included hydraulic valves, manifolds, hard and soft lines, and Allen Bradley ArmorBlock I/O installation. Additionally, 61 new PDP panels were integrated, and the architecture was converted from 120V to 24V. To enhance efficiency, GRG opened a remote location near the customer’s facility, facilitating collaboration with vendors to optimize production efficiency and flexibility.
