Position Summary:

Analyze customer requirements and develop competitive systems and station concepts. Document pertinent application engineering calculations and data. Responsible for high quality design work, accurate quoting, and effective machine build supervision and start-up.

Major Responsibilities: • Responsible for the quality, cost effectiveness and timeliness of designs. Responsible for conformance to design specifications.

Obtain necessary subcontract support and quotations. 

Support proposals in writing proposal documentation. 

Support quotation deadline requirements.

Support sales presentations. 

Attend customer line up meetings. 

Visit customer plants. 

Participate in the development of sales presentation strategies and materials. 

Review and completely understand customer requirements and specifications. Terms and conditions.  Plant and corporate specifications. Preferred vendor listings. Part and assembly drawings and specifications. Project specific quotation requirements.

Develop conceptual solutions and alternatives.

Station concepts, including operating sequences, timing charts. 

Material flow with system layouts and arrangements • Sketches, drawings, and motion sheets as required to document the above, direct CAD work and provide presentation materials.

Obtain vendor quotations on critical equipment.

Identify qualified vendors. Communicate with vendors via phone, fax, and email to provide line-ups, develop alternative solutions, receive, and clarify quotations.

Work with technical and commercial experts as required. 

Obtain outside/vendor technical assistance.

Finalize and transmit the project on schedule. 

Ultimately responsible for the technical quality and commercial success of assigned projects.  Understands customer specifications and objective of the project. 

Establish and execute the timeline for the project per the customer requirements.

Capable of communicating to the various divisions (electrical, mechanical), in the company, and ensuring their understanding of the tasks at hand. Interface with and provide support to all operational departments including Manufacturing, Sales, Service, and Applications. 

Address all customer concerns and requirements. 

Regular reporting of project progress and status to the customer and GRG management. 

Manage supplier and subcontractor relations on projects. 

Participate on all the meetings regarding the project execution and progress. 

Responsible for the design, manufacturing, assembly, debug, try-out and support of runoff, teardown, shipment, installation, start-up, and buyoff for all assigned projects.

Responsible for the delivery of all the as built drawings, bill of materials, manuals, and documentation to the customer. 

Support customer change orders. 

Participate in all project meetings. 

Review the overall performance of the project with departmental managers and provide input on how GRG can make improvements for future projects.

Responsible for collecting all payments from customers. 

Serve as the Mechanical Project Engineer on projects as needed.

Requirements: B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience. 

4+ years of mechanical design experience preferred.  

Experienced with AutoCAD 2D a must. 

Experienced with Solidworks 2018 or newer a must. 

With Inventor and/or Catia V5 experience is preferred. 

Creative, outside-the-box thinker with lots of new ideas. 

Have a firm understanding of motion control systems (e.g., robotics, gantry systems, conveyors, etc.) preferred. 

Excellent customer focus and strong attention to detail.

Production Division Position Summary: 

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Work with Mechanical Engineers to develop detailed drawings for manufacturing including but not limited to assembly level drawings, dimensional drawings for manufacturing utilizing GD&T, layout drawings, etc.

Job Title: Machine Tool Electrician

Position Summary: Responsible for leading high quality industrial and automation electrical work, leading additional electrical builders and contractors, and effective machine electrical build supervision and start-up.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to the Electrical Build Lead for project assignments and to report on daily activity progress and responsibilities.

• Proactively assessing work to be completed based on input from Project Manager, Engineering, and assigning/completing work within project constraints.

• Lead assigned team with daily work tasks, validation of work completed, and fit and finish of mechanical build meets GRG quality standards.

• Work closely with the various GRG departments: engineering, build, installation, in machine building, debug, validation, and commission. Cradle to Grave.

• Consult with the Electrical Build Lead, Engineering, Project Management, and customers to define the scope of projects and steps to achieve goals. Follow scope closely while communicating grey areas, issues, adherence to timing and updates.

• Follow safety practices as defined by GRG America and customers’ site safety requirements.

• Work with controls and mechanical team to debug, support customer run off and tear down prior to shipment to customer sites.

• Work with controls and mechanical team to test and debug automation and electrical systems at customer sites for final acceptance.

• Document rework and communicate back to Engineering and Project Management teams

• Aftermarket support for any emergency service or planned maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed equipment

• Electrical installation support as required and provide service reports for progress updates to the project team.

• Communicate with the assigned project team to ensure a constant level of project awareness and no hidden information.

Job Title: 

Project Executioner

Coordinator of the activities and communication between internal departments to support seamless project workflow and successful projects.

Position Summary:

Responsible for producing high quality industrial and automation assembly work with a major focus in developing, leading, executing, and communicating technical aspects of the projects assigned. Primary responsibility in coordination of technical activities and data between Build, Project Management, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving to ensure successful and efficient building and launching of GRG Projects. Report to the Project Execution Manager for project assignments and report on daily activity progress and responsibilities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Planning

• Align goals with Project Manager on assigned projects to develop and lead engineering, build, commissioning, and installation strategies and milestones.

• Work with assigned project engineers and project manager to create and track overall project timeline in alignment with as sold quotation.

• Set, communicate and track project budgets to as-sold costs internally. Publish and update as required by GRG management and Customers alike.

• Understand project technical scope in detail and limitations to where scope ends. Notify customers of out of scope requests and drive MECR’s accordingly.

Project Build

• Review and communicate work to be executed and determine machining and build location based on project constraints.

• Ensures project build teams have all correct and current documentation (models, drawings, forums, etc) for building latest designs.

• Set and communicate regular updates to team working on project, shifts in milestones, MECR’s, prioritization etc.

• Set and lead project whiteboard meetings with project manager. Track open issues to closure within project team.

• Final review of build quality – review quality of project assembly builds that they are both to GRG standard and meet all customer specifications.

Commissioning and Debug

• Works with build and engineering teams after power on to setup and test each station and assembly in accordance with its as sold intent.

• Leads cycle time and throughput verification and ensures we are meeting as sold specification.

• Leads open issue tracking and closure of points – Identifying issue, quotation, purchasing, integration, and closure.

• Communicates and works with PM on cost projections for all project tasks and rework as needed.

• Tracks delivery of materials needed by build and engineering teams – sets and communicates due dates based on dates from purchasing.

• Capture missing, incorrect, bad components and details from build teams, work with purchasing and suppliers to get these components within project timing.

Internal & External Runoff

• Defines and understands in detail the project runoff criteria and both communicates and sets these expectations for internal runoff criteria.

• Leads collection of quality check documentation from build teams.

• Sets and communicates resource needs to support project builds, debugging and runoff.

• Supports runoff in leading build and engienering teams in adjusting and proving out station as required per customer needs.

• Sets and tracks customer component requirements to meet customer runoff needs.

• Lead creating and presenting machine/station quality reports to prove assembly meets customer requirements.

Documentation & Validation

• Ensures project documentation meetings customer requirements.

• Supports development of station/equipment manuals, HMI screens, and user functions.

• Reviews project final documentation prior to submission to customer.

Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for leading key projects and mentoring the project management team to ensure consistent and successful execution of company projects. Leading and maintaining high standards in project delivery to internal and external teams. Reports to Project Execution Manager.

Major Duties:

Project Management

• Oversee and manage complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, communication internally and externally, quality standards are met.

• Serve as the single point of contact for clients and stakeholders on assigned projects, resolving escalations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Sole responsibility in setup, maintenance, changes and management of project budgets and timelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align resources, objectives, and schedules.

• Follow GRG processes to execute and communicate projects in a standard format and method.

Project Budgets

• Manage and understand project quoted budgets and maintain accurate project costing projections and current status.

• Communicate project budgets with working team and ensure they are maintained.

• Work with Purchasing and Engineering to develop designs and solutions that fit within project budgets.

• Support weekly documentation updates for assigned projects. Cost to go, invoicing, and sign offs.

Customer Communication

• Responsible for ALL customer communication and maintenance of a single point of contact.

• Support project team in relaying issues, missing information, and items outside of sold scope to customers.

• Communicate and update timeline in accordance with project status and customer expectations.

• Run and communicate open issues lists with customers to transparently capture and close open topics.

Internal Communication

• Ensure all project teams have clear direction and understanding of project scope and deliverables

• Work closely with GRG Project Executioner and Project Engineers to develop a clear plan for achieving project objectives.

• Coordinate with project leads to plan and execute project engineering, builds, runoff and installations.

• Communicate budget, scope, and timeline limitations to ensure what is being provided matches what was sold.

• Develop and lead timeline objectives on projects and work with departmental leads to assign resources and communicate with project team and managers.

Project Timelines

• Leads creation and maintenance of project timeline. Providing regular published updates internally and externally.

• Monitor assigned project timelines and progress and provide regular updates to leadership.

• Assist in preparing reports, forecasts, and resource planning documentation as needed for achievement of payment milestones or other topics.

• Track customer and internal delays

• Ensure project timing is maintained and escalate as needed to communicate changes or shifts.

Project Scope

• Ensure project as sold scope is thoroughly understood and communicated to project team.

• Tie GRG project plan to customer expectation and ensure both parties are working towards agreed goals.

Position Summary: Responsible for leading high quality industrial and automation installation & relocation work, leading and communicating with additional GRG builders, contractors, and project management teams to ensure effective and efficient supervision and start-up of equipment installed, dismantled, or commissioned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Report to the Installation/Relocation Manager for project assignments and to report on daily activity progress and responsibilities.

· Work onsite or in-house with, electrical, mechanical, build and engineering teams depending on project requirements.

· Proactively assessing work to be completed based on input from Project Manager, Project Executioner, Engineering. Assigning/completing work within project constraints and communicating with team members.

· Lead onsite team with daily work tasks, validation of work completed, and fit and finish of installed equipment meets GRG quality standards.

· Work closely with the various GRG departments: engineering, Project Management, installation, in machine building, debug, validation, and commission. Cradle to Grave.
