Additive Manufacturing

At Global Retool Group, we are heavily invested in additive manufacturing (3D printing). How does this technology keep GRG competitive?

  • Faster prototyping and on-demand production reduce lead times.

  • Cost reduction on complex parts while maintaining precision.

  • Eliminate the need for expensive molds or dies.

  • Lightweight, precision-engineered components improve durability and productivity.

Additive Manufacturing for Rapid Prototyping

GRG utilizes state of the art additive manufacturing in cases where the customer product is not available to test the fit and function of our fixtures. In certain cases, our rapid prototype materials like PEEK have proven to be durable permanent solutions on the production line, allowing us to complete your project in a shorter time. We can produce models out of several materials that will suit your needs. Please inquire with your specifications!

In addition to our additive manufacturing capabilities, we also provide high-resolution 3D scanning. This technology allows us to validate the repeatability of our fixturing as well as reverse engineer existing tooling for retool where original prints are no longer available. Our quality department uses these tools to validate critical machined components to ensure quality to our customers.

Our software allows us to compare actual to designed components as seen here. In this example, red areas are out of tolerance where tubing and electrical wire are not in the original model. Green and yellow areas show that the parts are within tolerance.

Our INTAMSYS FUNMAT HT has a heated chamber and bed allowing us to print durable PEEK models with fine detail.
